You heard it here boys and girls...not that you'd hear it anywhere else, but whatever.  Throw us a frickin' bone here!  In two days, Studio ONY will be appearing at AnimeIowa in Coralville, IA!

This is extra exciting for us as it is our seventh year attending AI in a row, our third year as guests, aaand...OUR FIFTH ANNIVERSARY OF O-n-Y: LIVE ACTION! 

I've had a few emails, so here's the skinny.  O-n-Y Live Action: YEAR FIVE will be taking place, as always, Saturday at TEN PM if I recall correctly. Be sure to check the programming schedule at the con, but we'll have information ready and waiting come Friday.  We have some new rules this year to make this the best year yet, so here they are:

O-n-Y: Live Action is a contest where you are given a wordless comic strip with the O-n-Y characters, fill in what you think the characters should be saying, and watch us act it out like idiotic monkeys for your enjoyment. We don't read the comics ahead of time, so half of the fun is watching us stumble through people's terrible handwriting and trying not to laugh ourselves into a coma.  The audience votes by way of noise what comics they enjoy the most, and a winner is chosen from the entries! You can pick up your entry form at the Studio ONY booth in the dealer hall as of Friday afternoon.   So, what, you ask, do you win for partaking in this glorious contest?

FIRST PLACE WINNER: will receive a prize pack with Studio O-n-Y art and other assorted anime-related stuff. They will also get the first registered pre-order of Book 2 (due out some time in 2010), and the joy of being publicly cheered (or otherwise...not up to us) on our next comic update!  You also win a shot at a cameo in an upcoming O-n-Y comic.   Except for Jens.  Jens will never be in the comic at this point, just because we love to fuck with him.

Second and Third place winners: You will get a mention and victory pic with the ONY crew to be posted on the website, and your entries will be included in O-n-Y Book 2 as bonus material with commentary from Drazz and Roku!  You will also receive some cool swag.

Everyone Else: You win our love. <3 deal with it.

1. You may only have 1 entry per person. Entry forms will be available at the Studio ONY booth in the dealer hall.

2. All entries must be received no later than ten minutes after the start of the panel.  We will accept last minute entries at that time.

3. Drazz, Roku, and our mystery guest this year have the ability to award bonus points for entries they think are considerably witty!  So make it good, people.

4. NO YAOI, YURI, SHOUNEN-AI or SHOJOU-AI JOKES THIS YEAR. It was funny the first, the second, even the third time. Now it's just getting old. 

5. The word rooster-pie or any derivative thereof is hereby outlawed.  Osty...Jens...your whole crew...this means you, punks. =P

6. O-n-Y may be a somewhat mature comic, but please try to keep offensive language to a minimum.  A non-participating studio representative will be screening all entries ahead of time to make sure nothing too offensive is in the entries.  But Drazz, Roku, and mystery guest will not be seeing them, so no worries.

7. You do not have to be present to win, but hey, it sure is a hell of a lot more fun when you are!

In case you missed it, we'll be at Sogencon in Sioux Falls, South Dakota this weekend, hangin with our buddies and fans.  Be sure to visit us at our array of panels listed in the program guide at the con.  When not running panels, we'll be at our table selling books, prints, merchandise, and even some original comic pages of O-n-Y that will never be reproduced.
